TGR Hits The Omega Sektor
On March 21st, some of the Titan Gaming Radio staff and DJs headed to sunny, sunny Birmingham: at which point it immediately started to snow. Braving the snow, these intrepid individuals made their way to the Omega Sektor, aka "The Play Place" for four days of gaming - as hosted by those lovely chaps and chappesses from NCsoft. On BOTH sides of the Atlantic.
As any players of City of Heroes/Villains will know,
War Witch is quite possibly the coolest developer the game has. The character is cool, her job is cool (redesigning Faultline, anyone?), and she fits into the EU community like a dream. But in real life...
She's cooler! And TGR were lucky enough to get to meet her:

She even accepted a TGR baseball cap from DJs Guardian and Piratevision (shown above), whom she asked to
sign said baseball cap for her!
And later on, as if all that wasn't enough, she allowed us to interview her! And you can watch the interview for yourself
here.
It wasn't just War Witch who proved to be beyond cool, the Omega Sektor staff were fun, friendly and eagerly willing to put up with hundreds of sleep deprived, caffeine fueled, geeky gamers, for four whole days! We don't know how they managed it, and TGR wants to express our thanks to every single one of them. Not least for allowing DJ Guardian to do a
live DJ set from their own DJ booth:
He's a super-cool DJ...
There's more!
As any regular listeners to DJ Guardian's shows will know, he is an immense
Transformers geek. Anything there is to be known about Transformers, this guy knows it - and
more. So when we found out none other than
Andrew Wildman was going to be there, along with
Draw The World Together, we were thrilled, and DJ Guardian had a geekgasm. It got even better when TGR was awarded an interview with none other than Andrew himself: which you can watch in all its glory,
here
I can honestly state that TGR has never had as much fun as we had this past weekend. We're all
still knackered from it, but would do it again in an instant. We'd like to express our thanks to everyone from NCsoft, the sidekicks, the Omega Sektor staff, Draw The World Together and of course everyone who attended, for making this event so very enjoyable; and to all who took part in Titan Gaming Radio's Gaming Quiz, Featuring Gaming: thank you for making all the work we did so worth it!
And as a final prize, we offer the Official Titan Gaming Radio Video Diary of the event, for your viewing pleasure:

Thank you, everyone,
- Titan Gaming Radio.

Titan Gaming Radio are proud to announce their affiliation with the first ever
Supreme Superbeing Awards Ceremony held on the City of Heroes/City of Villians Test Server next month!
Lady Leprechaun, from the City of Heroes/Villains Official forums had this to say:
"The music Industry has the Grammy awards. The Acting Profession has the Golden Globe Awards. Now, the S.C.Q. (Superbeings of Conceptual Quality), in co-operation with H.E.R.O. (Heroic Endeavour Recognition Organisation) and B.R.P.E. (Board for the Recognition of Pure Evil) and with the generous support of our sponsors "Kittenz Inc.", "TitanGamingRadio" and "DJ Zero" are proud to announce the inaugural "Supreme Super-being Award Ceremony".
More than just a simple Costume Competition, we will be looking at everything from back-stories and bios to badges and battle cries! We are looking to select the most "complete", the most cleverly and creatively, crafted characters from amongst the Hero and Villain Communities and the best of the besT... will win the prestigious "Atlas Globe" (Heroes) and "Grandville Globe" (Villains) awards for 2008!
Yes, in addition to a prize of Influence/Infamy, the winning Hero and Villain will be granted official forum titles of Atlas (Hero) & Grandville (Villain) Globe Winners 2008! There will also be another very special prize that has been donated by one of our sponsors, which we will reveal more about in a future announcement!
To allow as many people as possible (from all 4 servers) the chance to join us, the award ceremony will be held on the Test Server. It will take place on Sunday 6th April, commencing at approximately 19:00hrs GMT. By kind permission of DJ Zero, the ceremony will take place in Pocket D and a celebratory party will follow the awards themselves, with music from some of TitanGamingRadio's finest DJs and numerous other mini events and competitions for people to take part in.
A separate announcement will be appearing very soon, giving more details of how to register your entry for the awards and what criteria the judges will be assessing. Keep watching this space!"
